An existing 110,000-square-foot department store was converted into the first Target store on the island of Kauai. Structural modifications were performed on the building’s envelope that allowed the CMU façade to be opened up to accommodate new storefront windows, while also extending the building footprint for new team member offices. Swinertonalso performed a full interior tenant improvement.
A new roof and rooftop mechanical units were added, along with new refrigeration systems. Swinertonself-performed the concrete, drywall, and rough carpentry scopes of work. This is °ëÌÇÖ±²¥â€™s third full Target store buildout in the State of Hawaii, continuing what has proven to be a very successful partnership.
